ABOUT US

Fabric Innovations is a design-driven fabric company providing top of bed, drapery, and upholstery fabrics to the hospitality industry. In 2024, Fabric Innovations was acquired by Covington Fabric & Design strengthening its position as a leading supplier of linens, bedding, and custom fabrics to some of the industry's most prestigious hotels.

At Fabric Innovations, we specialize in global procurement programs for companies worldwide. Whether the goal is to revitalize an existing brand or create a new one, our approach is to develop patterns authentic to the brand by defining the company's brand strategy, developing visual concepts, and translating such elements into a recognizable and consistent product. We pride ourselves on quality and have a thorough process of inspection, which takes place at each production facility across the globe to ensure that every seam leaving our manufacturing facilities is flawless.

Sustainability is an ongoing commitment at Fabric Innovations. We offer a growing selection of textiles made with recycled content, and many of our products carry internationally recognized certifications — including Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which verifies that fabrics have been tested for harmful substances and meet rigorous human-ecological safety requirements, and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), which confirms verified recycled content and responsible social and environmental practices throughout the supply chain. We also encourage clients to return memo samples so materials can be reused rather than discarded. From responsible sourcing and reduced chemical use to the certifications that back our claims, we are committed to offering the hospitality industry textiles that are as conscientious as they are beautiful.

Founded in 1997 by Deborah Herman, Fabric Innovations was built on the foundation of her lifelong passion for the hospitality industry. Her dedication to the industry and her ability to translate a brand's vision into beautifully crafted product left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire the work we do today – though she passed away in early 2026, her spirit lives on in the company. In her honor, the NEWH established the Deborah Herman Legacy Scholarship fund to carry forward her commitment to education and the next generation of hospitality professionals.
